Carrie Jung is a Lead Threat Intelligence Engineer at Klaviyo, where she has spent the past few years building the company's threat intelligence program from the ground up. Her work focuses on tracking and disrupting threats targeting Klaviyo — from account takeover clusters and platform abuse to corporate-targeted intrusions. She brings over 20 years of experience across threat intelligence, malware reverse engineering, and fraud-focused security engineering, with prior roles at Mandiant, Gemini, Square, and Sandia National Laboratories.

At Mandiant, she worked on high-profile investigations including APT1, the Sony breach, and the Target breach, and as part of FireEye's FLARE team specialized in reverse engineering, malware analysis, and binary similarity research. She has taught advanced reverse engineering classes at Black Hat, AppSec, and for private industry. Today, she focuses on turning noisy signals from ATOs, application abuse, fraud, and intrusion activity into cohesive, trackable threat clusters that can be disrupted.
