Simon performs a client-facing role at Intel 471; helping to fill intelligence gaps and support public sector clients to mitigate and investigate threats emanating from the online cyber underground. This includes the provision of investigative leads and real-world adversary attribution.

Prior to joining Intel 471 in July of 2018, Simon spent 31-years as a police officer based in London and Washington DC; accumulating significant experience in criminal investigations, risk management and critical incident response; related to homicide, counter- terrorism, drug trafficking, financial crime, counter-corruption & cybercrime.

From 2013-2016 Simon was Head of the UK’s National Cybercrime Unit tactical intelligence function, managing staff across the UK and Europe, and provided leadership during several complex investigations & critical cyber-incidents impacting the UK.

From 2016-2018 Simon was based in Washington DC as a Cyber Liaison Officer on behalf of the UK's National Cyber Crime Unit, coordinating investigative efforts with US law enforcement, the intelligence community, FVEY partners and private industry.
